The Case of the Serial Comma

Guess whose independent short film just finished post-production?

My assistant Aaaaaagw plays the lead in this thriller about a simple copywriting secret anyone can do—even a dinosaur.

I’ve secured the distribution rights for North America.

You are about to witness the film’s first screening.

If you can’t see it below, click here to watch.

It’s clear Aaaaaaagw has got the acting bug. I hope he can still make time for my bookkeeping.

Who is Aaaaaaagw? You can watch his other appearances here:

Nathan, thank you! I’m pretty sure my dog has been thinking the same thing.

Michelle, Bullet Point Man is trying to resist the urge to bullet-pointize your comment. It’s irresistible to him. Thank you!

This is just too cute! I love the voices!

My husband just came into my office as I was watching this, and since I know I should be working I quickly told him, “It’s about commas. It’s work-related!”

Bullet Point Man has a trusty steed!

I like bullets. They’re very useful when writing technical support content. However, they make me think of Powerpoint foils, of which I have seen more than my fair share. Out, out, bad thought.

Natalia, you’re a copywriter, so you can tell him it’s ALL work-related. Especially the stuff that doesn’t look like it.

Elizabeth, oh goodness. No, not the Powerpoint foils! (I can see an epic duel between Bullet Point Man and Powerpoint Pete. Foiled again!)

Kelly, that’s so true! Writers research all sorts of things. My sister, who’s a doctor, opened my laptop the other day to see I’d been researching heart conditions, and was immediately concerned. There’s also the time I had to research divorce processes in different states just two months after my wedding for a story I was working on. Good thing no one saw that one…

The cape! Kelly, you are awesome!
Also, one thing that popped into my mind as I was watching: next time I knit socks, I need to make the top of the foot red – it’d save on lipstick when comes time to turn them into diva sock puppets! :)
