It’s easy to lapse into corporate speak or to inhabit the opposite spectrum of the copywriting world–the writing equivalent of a gigantic inflatable gorilla.
Over the last few months, I’ve been working on an eBook to help solo professionals navigate this treacherous territory.
It’s called The Copywriting Cookbook — 27 Recipes for Home-Baked, Crowd-Pleasing Marketing Communications.
It becomes available on September 17th.
You can get a free recipe here, now: http://copywritingcookbook.com .
Why Recipes?
Writing your own copy can be overwhelming.
On one hand, you want to finish as quickly as possible. You don’t have time to read an entire manual on copywriting.
On the other hand, you don’t want to make obvious mistakes. Wouldn’t it be great if you could just turn to the right recipe and follow a step-by-step process?
I thought so. So, I wrote this.
How do you have time to write a book these days?
No one has time to do anything without a deadline attached to it. Or a free meal.
So, I joined the The Product Factory , which provided a deadline & support. (Still waiting for the tuna melts they promised.)
The Product Factory is a team-oriented, online learning environment that leads you through a 90-day process for creating a product–be it a book/e-book, video, or audio. It’s led by Michael Port (of Book Yourself Solid fame). [Full-disclosure: That's my affiliate link.]
Another accountability trick: I promised one of my clients I’d finish my book by the deadline, or she’d get a free project.
I’d definitely recommend the Product Factory if you’re thinking about creating a product but simply haven’t found the time.
Here are two more excellent Product Factory creations from past and present:
