Kat, that stuff would work in the Work History section below. Maybe not in the bio/summary part, though, since that would be redundant.

Great article. You said you shouldn't use your resume bio on your LinkedIn page. Is it okay to use the descriptions of your work history from your resume? (as long as you don't also upload your resume in addition?)

Thanks Kelly! I like it too! Based on your comments I did a little editing and cut down 22 words. It's not lean and mean but it's not flabby either. LOL!

My website is almost ready. I'm getting all my ducks in place and then I'll do the InMail campaign. I already have a bunch of people in my contacts who are potential clients that I'll get in touch with about my website launch.

Thanks again for the great info about generating work on LinkedIn.

Hi Julie -- thanks so much!
That link took me to my own LinkedIn profile for some reason.
But here's the link to yours, just in case anyone else wants to check it out:
http://www.linkedin.com/in/juliestuart

I'm loving this bio! Even though it's on the longer side, it has everything anyone would need to know to see how you could help them, so I think it will work well with your InMail campaign--particularly since your website isn't up yet. And I love the conversational style! Can't wait to see all this amazing messaging on your new website!

[...] Are you making these mistakes on your LinkedIn profile? Scroll down to the Do’s and Don’ts. One of the most important: don’t refer to yourself in the third person! It sounds stuffy. Your summary should be semi-personal and reflect your personality. [...]
